Young Chefs Club: Easy As Pie Ages 8-12 year olds

In this two-hour hands-on KIDS-ONLY baking class, students are empowered to bake on their own, which builds confidence and independence. In addition, our baking instructors will teach your child how to safely handle baking equipment, develop safe knife skills and best of all…how to clean up afterwards!
In this two-hour drop-off session our professional culinary instructor, along with two kitchen assistants, will guide your child through:
*Sweet Lucy’s Bakeshop Pie Dough
*Maple Cranberry Apple Filling
It’s pie time! We believe that EVERYONE should know how to make a pie dough from scratch, so what better opportunity than to teach them young! In this special Young Chefs Club class, we’re rolling up our sleeves (again!) to master the art of pie dough. Some of our young bakers have done it before, but practice makes perfect—and this time, we’re going even further! We’ll work together to mix, roll, and fill beautiful pies, all while keeping the mess (and the flour) at the bakeshop instead of your kitchen. Each chef will go home with a frozen, ready-to-bake pie—just in time for Thanksgiving. If last year’s pie was delicious, just wait until you see (and taste!) the progress this year!
* Classes may include working in groups and sharing equipment. This class must have a minimum of 8 students to run. Students will be working with flour, butter, and eggs and so we cannot accommodate students with allergies to working with gluten, dairy, or eggs.
