Kids Baking–Bakeshop Favorites

This 4-day class is designed for kids ages 8-12

TUESDAY July 29^th– FRIDAY August 1st

FROM 3:30PM-5:30PM, EVERYDAY

Does your 8–12-year-old dream of being a baker when they grow up? Do they spend hours watching baking shows, imagining what it would be like? Well, if so, this class is just for them! In this series, Sweet Lucy herself, will spend the week guiding your kid through mixing, kneading, measuring, and rolling, while creating the most popular bakery treats from scratch. At the end of the week, we will help your kid “open” their very own bakery with the treats they made all week! The highlight of the class will be the last day- where we will open the kitchen up to your kids’ friends and family as a BAKESALE. Kids will work in teams to design a pop-up bakeshop and sell their products. Every dollar raised will be donated to Franklin County Community Meals. (Kids will also take home samples of what they make every day!)

In this 4 day series the recipes taught will include:

Muffins, Cornbread, Scones, Cookies, Pie, Cupcakes, Cake Pops, Sweet Buns, Pretzels and Bagels.

Includes: 4 days of 2 hr hands-on cooking classes, light refreshments in class, a French Rolling Pin and Bench Scraper, samples of items made every day, and the opportunity to experience real life community building and entrepreneurship.

This class holds up to 12 students, and must have a minimum of 8 students to run.

In order to create a like-minded education experience, we are FIRM on the age requirement. All students must be at least 8 and no older than 12 in order to attend this class.

* Students will be working with flour, dairy, eggs, and nuts, therefore we cannot accommodate any students with allergies to flour, dairy, eggs, and nuts.
