Around the World Christmas Cookies
What IS a Christmas Cookie? We often ponder this question at Sweet Lucy’s Bakeshop! There are so many answers, depending on people’s traditions, cultures, and memories. This year, we’re traveling around the world for inspiration—and then coming home for a Sweet Lucy’s classic!
In this hands-on class, you’ll discover just how differently butter, sugar, flour, nuts, spices, and chocolate can come together to create some of our favorite holiday cookies. We’ll travel from Germany to Italy to Argentina, and finish with one of our own beloved Sweet Lucy’s favorites!
In this hands-on class you will learn:
- Lebkuchen — Germany
- Florentines — Italy
- Alfajores — Argentina
- Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies — A Sweet Lucy’s Classic!
Includes: 2-hour class, light refreshments, and a box of Christmas Cookies for you to take home (GREAT for gift giving)!

*We welcome all ages to attend our cooking classes. However, anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult to attend any of our general classes.
*Every class is fully hands-on, with students working individually or in small groups of up to two to create each dish together. We do our best to finish on time, but every class moves a little differently, so please allow for up to 30 minutes before or after the scheduled end time.
